Tonight at 6:30pm, the board and volunteers of Angels in America will be meeting at the Walmart in Raynham to do some Christmas Shopping for the families that have requested assistance! Watch out ~ Angels will be shopping for multiple families with multiple children – as of right now (with more coming in hourly). Tonight’s list will be for 8 families specifically!
As an organization that helps others and the community ~ we are helping families who may not have made the cut for larger organizations; who waited too long to ask for help, or just didn’t know how some of the processes work and these families found us to assist.
In addition to shopping on our own for the families, Angels in America did “Be the Smile” tags for four businesses to assist with requests this year – Crafty Cuts of Middleboro, MiChelle’s Hair Etc also of Middleboro, The Dan’l Webster Inn & Spa of Sandwich and America’s Little Angels Preschool of Bridgewater.
Our 100 Days of Christmas Giving has netted OVER 100 gifts to supplement our requests – our supporters graciously picked a day and gave a gift to build our inventory.
Last year we collected used artificial trees (approximately 10) and have given almost all of them out to families who were in need.
Angels in America is a 501c3 that who’s mission statement is “Making America stronger, providing hope and encouragement… one good deed at a time.”
